The problem is that Firefox is looking at NetworkManager to control the browsers online status.

Got as far as "network manager" and then there is no right click to select "toggle." ?
followed this and when i type in network manager nothing shows up ???
Entering 'networkmanager' in the filter box gives no results. Using ver 5.0 under XP.
In newer version try "browser.offline-apps.notify" change to "false"
and "browser.offline" to "false"
